There are seven members of the Parent Advisory Board (PAB) who advocate on behalf of Traut parents and who work with the Teacher Advisory Board (TAB) to fulfill the mission and goals of the Site Based Management Council (SBMC).
Amy Hloucal is honored to serve as the PAB President again this year. A mother to two boys, one in 5th grade and the other in 8th grade at Kinard, Amy has served TCKS as a volunteer, classroom coordinator, musical production volunteer, two terms on PAB, and can't believe it's her ninth and final year of being a proud Wolverine!
Amy is a financial advisor with Thrivent Financial, and is delighted to serve with a very talented and dedicated PAB team. She also accompanies her church choir and serves as a Colorado All-State Choir judge at the high school level. She and her family enjoy traveling, exploring, the mountains, history, music, and Cheyenne Frontier Days.
Christi Knudsvig is serving her third year on PAB and is Vice President. Christi and husband have two children at TCKS, 5th and 1st grade. Being involved in the classroom has been the most rewarding volunteer activity and she is eager to return to Traut in person as a parent volunteer. She also serves on the Curriculum and Hiring Committees at Traut. Christi works as an engineering manager for Keysight Technologies, primarily focused on software development. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and playing volleyball.
Hello! My name is Robben George. I currently have 3rd grader at TCKS and 6th grader at Kinard. My husband and I are owner/operators of a few small businesses in Northern Colorado but the majority of our time is spent growing our Landscape Contracting Company. In my spare time I enjoy being involved in our NoCo community and have a special place in my heart for local non-profits such as the SAVA Center, Casa of Larimer County and Realties for Children! Together my husband and I are involved in the Fort Collins Rotary Club, helping with the fan favorite Peach Fest is the top of our list. I try and live by this quote by Helen Keller “Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much.” We chose Traut for our boys because of the parent partnership pillar. I truly enjoy being involved in the classroom, supporting our teachers and staff in all that they do as well as other families as we work through the challenges and successes to make Traut perform at its best! In my time at Traut I have served on the PAB, mentor committee and the VIPS committee. I am also currently on the fundraising committee, and the Outdoor Classroom Committee!
Jennifer McDonald is the PAB Treasurer. She is serving her third year on PAB. She is the mom to a TCKS 3rd grader, 1st grader, and an almost 3 year old. Jenn is a former teacher, and currently leads in local Women’s Ministry and manages a blog for a local attorney. Jenn’s experience as a teacher and leadership roles help her serve PAB and TCKS. In her free time, Jenn enjoys spending time with her family and friends, gardening, camping, a great cup of coffee and reading a good book!
Lyndsey Schreiner is the PAB External Strategic Planner and serving her second year on PAB. She is mom to Evelyn (Evie) Vandiver who is in the 1st grade at Traut. Lyndsey works for HP as the Technical Talent Manager reporting to the Chief Engineer. Lyndsey enjoys reading, running, and hiking.
Adrienne Jacobson is the Communications Coordinator. She and her husband, Chris, have three girls. Darby, who is in Mrs. Salinas' 5th Grade, Macy, who attended Traut Kindergarten through 5th, is a 6th Grader at Kinard and Avery, who attended Traut Kindergarten through 5th, is a Freshman at Fossil Ridge High School. Adrienne as been a VIP, Classroom Coordinator, and volunteer in the classroom. Adrienne was born and raised in Colorado, moving to Fort Collins in 1999. Chris and Adrienne own a real estate team here in town and enjoy all the outdoor activities Northern Colorado has to offer.
Gwen Valles is the PAB Communications Coordinator. My husband Danny and I have 3 kids- 4th grader, 2nd grader, and kindergartner. I was born and raised here in Fort Collins. I attended a small Christian college in California to get my bachelor’s degree in Communications where I met Danny. We moved back here to work at my family’s food distribution company- Yancey’s Food Service. After several years, my husband pursued real-estate and now works at The Group, Inc. where he sells residential real-estate and manages investments. I became a stay at home mom after having my first baby. Ever since my kids started attending Traut I have been involved in the classrooms and school and have a heart for the parent partnership Traut offers. One unique thing about me is I am actually a Traut Core Knowledge graduate (I was the first 6th grade class to attend the building we are currently in!) Some of my teachers are still there – you know who you are :-). I have a passion for my kid’s education and I believe together we as parents and teachers can provide an environment our students will thrive in.
